Sunshade mountain is located in Dacaotan Township, Zhangxian county. It is a beautiful scenic spot composed of cliff and cave at the intersection of western Qinling Mountains and Minshan mountains. It has been known as "xiaokongtong" in minzhou since ancient times. The scenic spot is composed of Xixi, Dongxi and Yimen mountain.

Development history

Sunshade mountain is characterized by precipitous mountains, luxuriant forests and grass, deep valleys, overlapping peaks, cliffs and streams. It is famous in the song and Ming Dynasties. Zhang shunmin, the censor and great poet of the Northern Song Dynasty, worked hard here for many years. Zhang Sanfeng, the founder of Wudang school and Daoquan, ascended to heaven by riding the dragon. Here, the cliff is emerald, the cave is enchanting, the winding path leads to seclusion, and the scenery is charming. Xixi is made up of Jin Jia Gou and some bifurcated gorge. It is 7.5 kilometers long, and is the essence of the whole mountain tourism. Dongxi scenic area is a few chaxia gorges with a total length of 10 km pugou, with more than 50 natural landscapes. Yimen mountain scenic spot is located on the south side of the South Dongxi river of sunshade mountain, with Dawang cave as the main body, which is 410 meters deep. Inside the cave, stalagmites, stalagmites, pillars and other karst wonders are spectacular. There are many strange peaks and rocks around the cave, such as shenbi peak, which makes people feel the magic of nature.

Guiqing mountain and sunshade mountain face each other in the East and West. The magnificent scenery of the north and the meaningful scenery of the South gather together. The flexibility and softness of the Loess Plateau and the magnificence and firmness of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau are perfectly combined here.

The wooden bridge flying over the valley between Zhongfeng and Xifeng on Guiqing mountain is called duanjianxian bridge. It is 13 meters long, 1.6 meters wide and 2.6 meters high. It was built in 1567, the first year of Longqing in Ming Dynasty. After more than 430 years of ups and downs, it still maintains the architectural style of Ming Dynasty. On the Xianqiao, overlooking the deep streams on both sides, common white clouds flutter at the foot, just like the realm of immortals.

The top of Guiqing mountain is 2340 meters above sea level. It has beautiful scenery and unique natural landscape. It is known as the "natural botanical garden". It has 32000 mu of woodland and more than 500 kinds of medicinal plants and ornamental plants. Guiqing mountain is divided into two tourist areas: the peak and Guiqing gorge. There are eight scenic spots, including Guiqing fairyland, Western scenic spots, Duanjian Xianqiao, Lingyan ancient cave, Shenlin hanging moon, ancient temple bells, Wanhe Songtao and ximianqingchi. Guiqing mountain scenic area is a limestone area, with steep mountains, numerous peaks, ancient temples, pavilions and halls, jagged rocks, towering trees, flowing springs and waterfalls. The 16 km long Guiqing gorge corridor has been known as "Guiqing fairyland" since ancient times.

Traffic information

Self driving traffic: from Lanzhou, go along national highway 121 to juehuqiao 208-209 km, and then go southwest for 13 km to sunshade mountain.

External transportation: there is a shuttle bus directly from Lanzhou east bus station to Guiqingshan, with a mileage of 293km and a ticket price of 66 yuan.
