Fushan, also known as "yuanyishan", was a medical scientist, writer, martial artist and poet in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. At the beginning, his name was Qingzhu. Later, it was changed to Qingzhu, which was named gongta, Zilu, shidaoren, Zhuyi daoren, etc. In poetry, literature, calligraphy, painting and other aspects, Fu Shan is good at learning and using, and has profound attainments. Among all the Confucianists in the early Qing Dynasty, he had a wide range of knowledge and great achievements. Fu Shan's calligraphy was regarded as "the first writer in the early Qing Dynasty". He wrote about Yan Zhenqing and summed up his experience of "being clumsy rather than clever, being ugly rather than flattering, being detached rather than smooth, being straightforward rather than arranging". His paintings have also reached a high artistic level. His landscape, plum, orchid, bamboo, etc. are all exquisite and are listed among the most elegant. "Huazhenglu" said: "Fu Qing's main painting landscape, Cun rub not much, Qiuhe Leike, to win the bone, ink bamboo also has gas." His calligraphy and painting are permeated with his lofty character and noble integrity, overflowing with the atmosphere of patriotism, which has won the high praise of later generations in the art of Chinese classical calligraphy and painting.
