Qigu lagoon is located in Qigu District, Tainan City, covering an area of 1600 hectares. It is between Qigu River and Jiangjun river. It is the largest and most complete wetland in Taiwan. It is surrounded by three sandbanks: dingtou Eshan, Wangzai LIAOSHAN and Qingshan Gangshan. There are 125 species of fish, 73 species of shellfish and more than 30 species of shellfish in this tranquil sea field, such as fish, shellfish, oysters, crabs, shrimps, mangroves, egrets and black faced Spoonbill.
