Foshou mountain scenic spot is located in Guoshan village, Xiexing Town, 3 kilometers southwest of Deng Xiaoping's former residence. The local people have always regarded it as a treasure land of geomantic omen.

Deng Shaochang, Deng Xiaoping's father, graduated from Chengdu law and politics school and taught here after returning to his hometown. Following his father's wishes, Deng Xiaoping transferred from Hanlin courtyard private school to Beishan primary school to receive new education. Today, the former site of Beishan primary school is located in the government yard of Xiexing Town, near the old street. The old houses with wooden structure and mottled walls show its vicissitudes of history. Looking at it, people seem to see Xiao Ping as a child carrying the homespun schoolbag that his mother sewed for him every day, stepping on the uneven street, to the school to assimilate the nutrients of knowledge eagerly; it also seems to hear the gentle footsteps of a generation of great people from here to the world in their childhood
