Tongshan Lake scenic spot was approved as a provincial scenic spot by the provincial government in 1994. Tongshan Scenic Spot is divided into three parts: Tongshan, Tongshan lake and Yunwu peak, with a total area of 74 square kilometers and an altitude of 681 meters. The scenic spot integrates mountains, lakes, islands, ponds, waterfalls, caves, temples, revolutionary sites, myths and legends, historical stories and other scenic resources. It integrates "majestic, dangerous, strange and beautiful" into one. Dangerous as Huashan, beautiful as Huangshan

"One Overpass", "two ancient temples", "three palaces", "four Tianmen", "five stone cliffs", "six caves", "seven temples", "eight landscapes", "nine strange stones", "ten famous peaks" and other scenic spots are dazzling and beautiful.

On the mountain, there are clouds and cliffs; at the foot of the mountain, there are deep caves and valleys, dense forests and grass; on the mountains, there are grotesque rocks, which are marvelous. Mountain springs, waterfalls, red leaves, grotesque rocks, rivers and lakes, temples, and mutual reflection, can be described as a fairyland on earth.

Traditional temple fair

Nangong Temple

At the foot of Tongshan is Nangong temple. After stepping into the gate and walking through the bamboo forest path, you can come to dishuiya, the holy land of Buddhism and Taoism for thousands of years. There is a drop of water cave on the south side of the temple, which drips continuously all the year round. The spring is sweet and refreshing. There is an immortal cave on the west side. It is said that it is the place where the grandmaster cultivated immortals. The temple integrates Buddhism and Taoism, and pilgrims keep coming up from Dishui cliff all the year round. You can reach the peak through four Tianmen gates, namely "hero slope", "Huixin cliff", "Jiaoge Laobei", "Baizhang cliff", "yiyixiantian", "Tongshan cloud ladder", "dedaoshi" and "Tianqiao". Standing on the top of Tongfeng, you can have a bird's-eye view of the mountains, with green cages and brilliant flowers. The mountains are undulating like dragons flying and rivers crossing Wrong as a ribbon lingering back, more than 100 famous scenic spots in the scenic spot have a panoramic view.

Mysterious Tongshan Lake Monster

The first time the water monster in Tongshan lake had an exact date was in the afternoon of August 9, 1992. Wugang City Police Li Gang and other 6 people are fishing in songjiachang reservoir. At about 18:30, a huge wave suddenly rose on the calm water surface, emitting a strong fishy smell. Then, the front body of a giant appeared in the water. The monster ejected two water columns from its two nostrils. Its neck was as thick as a bucket. Two clawed forelimbs paddled on the water. The part of the body above the water was more than 3 meters. The monster stayed on the water for dozens of seconds and then disappeared.

On August 5, 1995, Qiu Xinghui, director of Pingyu county Party committee office, accompanied by a leader of Biyang County, led several people to visit Tongshan Lake by motor boat. Qiu Xinghui suddenly found three black floating objects in a straight line in front of the wooden boat. When the ship was 20 meters away from the black spot, only three black spots suddenly sank, and the water surface collapsed into a deep ditch. Two months later, the Organization Department of Biyang County Party committee held a cadre training class in Tongshan lake. After class, Yang Linhai (now the head of Tongshan Township, Biyang County) and other six students were driving a human boat to play in the reservoir. At the same time, they found a huge object several meters away in front of them, with its back more than ten meters out of the water and two horns on its head Song Mingde, the former leader of songjiachang reservoir aquaculture team, told the author that since 1992, "water monster" has appeared more and more frequently. The time of appearance has also changed from autumn, after rain, evening and sultry weather to regardless of season and time. In the 20 years since the discovery of "water monster" in 1985, there have been more than 100 witnesses.

The "water monster" has created waves. Why does such a monster appear in a medium-sized reservoir that has been storing water for less than 40 years? What is a monster? There are many different opinions. Someone boldly speculated to the author: "this is a crocodile!" Others said, "this is a dragon."
