Mengdian residence
Mengdian residence is a key cultural relic protection unit in Shaanxi Province. Located 45 kilometers northeast of Xianyang City, Mengdian village, Luqiao Town, Sanyuan county.
Mengdian residence, built in the Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty (1796-1820), is a private residence built by Zhoumei village, a local giant businessman. The original 17 courtyard, now only 1 courtyard, five arch two flat four into courtyard, 53 rooms, covering an area of 979.8 square meters. The gate tower is opened and closed in the middle, and there are five two-story buildings with a plaque of "ruling the first" hanging on the door. Through the central axis, left and right symmetry, hall juxtaposition, brick, stone and wood carving art, showing the exquisite skills of architectural craftsmen. Inside, there are cultural relics such as Fendan, Qingqi and painted gold wardrobes. Since 1949, the government has repeatedly allocated funds for maintenance. In 1988, the Institute of cultural administration was established.
