Shanghai Jiading yechi

Shanghai Jiading yechi is located in Qinghe Road, Jiading town, Jiading District. In 1645, the Qing army besieged Jiading County. The Jinshi Hou dongzeng and Huang Chunyao led the volunteers to defend the city for more than ten days. After the city was conquered, Hou Dong ran to his home, crossed yechi and drowned with his two sons. In 1962, a monument was erected at the original site of yechi.
