Guihu corridor bridge is a multi wind corridor bridge built by local people in Guihu Town, Taishun County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is mainly composed of Guihu corridor bridge, the great wall around the mountain and Ma Xian palace. It was officially completed on December 30, 2012, and is still in the process of continuous expansion. The largest existing single span wooden arch bridge in China is Lanxi bridge of Ming Dynasty in Qingyuan County, with a single span of 36.8 meters. The successful completion of Guihu corridor bridge has set a new record.

Basic introduction

Guihu corridor bridge is a tourist landscape of Guihu Town, the southernmost town in Zhejiang Province. It is adjacent to Fujian Province in the south, where the turtle looks at the moon. At present, the landscape has just been established, but it has attracted many tourists around. The scenic spot inherits the traditional culture, carries forward the Buddhist thought, adapts measures to local conditions, makes full use of the advantages of the surrounding terrain, and refers to the geomantic omen, forming a scenic spot with outstanding people.

Taishun corridor bridge is the cultural property handed down from ancient times, and the crystallization of Taishun people's wisdom and diligence. Taishun means "peace for the people, peace for the people." there have been some interesting and charming stories in history. Guihu is one of the towns in Taishun. Its corridor bridge was completed in recent years with a cost of more than 8 million yuan. Now it is moistening Guihu Town, Taishun County, the southernmost and most marginal town in Zhejiang Province.

Style structure

The single span of Guihu corridor bridge is more than 36.8 meters, which is the largest single span wooden arch bridge at present. There are statues of Buddha and immortals in the corridor bridge. Ancient poems are inscribed on the supporting pillars and the inner wall around the bridge. The entrance and exit are inscribed with the following words: fortune, longevity and happiness. All these reflect the local common people's yearning for a stable life, their adherence to traditional culture, their worship and respect for nature, and their vision for a better future.

Guihu corridor bridge is located on both sides of a river running through Guihu town. On both sides of the river, there are horse fairy palace and "Great Wall around mountains". Among them, the Ma Xian palace is reserved for history. During the Spring Festival, local residents, workers and business people and tourists from the surrounding areas gather here. At this time, the Ma Xian palace is full of fragrance and bustling. The "Great Wall around the mountain" on the other side is actually the stone steps and high pavilions around the mountain, which is commonly known by the local people. Standing inside the high platform or pavilion, you can see Fujian on the opposite side, and even the "Jiaoxi" on the boundary between Zhejiang and Fujian. At the top of the tower, you can overlook the symbolic natural landscape of Guihu Town, which is called "Shengui Wangyue". It looks like a stone turtle looking up at the stars, so it gets its name. Inside the pavilion or on the stone column of the high platform, there are also ancient poems, and on the highest platform, there are censers. At present, the construction personnel are preparing to add Guanyin statue to this platform. The specific layout of Guanyin statue is still under discussion, but it will be put into practice soon.

Taishun is a mountainous county in the south of Zhejiang Province. It is adjacent to Wencheng in the northeast, Jingning in the northwest and Fujian Province in the south, with a total area of 1700 square kilometers. It is known as "nine mountains, half water and half farmland". Guihu town is the South Gate of Taishun County. It is located at the southernmost end of Taishun County. It is adjacent to Shiyang town in the northeast, Fu'an City and Zherong County in Fujian Province in the West and south, and Yangxi Township in the northwest. It is a border trade town in the center of two provinces, three counties and five towns. Guihu township was originally under the jurisdiction of Shiyang District, and Guihu town was established after the withdrawal of Shiyang district. In 2011, Guihu town was withdrawn and merged into Shiyang Town, and Guihu community was established. In 2016, Guihu town was restored. With a total area of 52.7 square kilometers, the town has 9 administrative villages, 57 natural villages, 2460 households and 10200 people. The area has a large mineral resources - pyrophyllite.
