Zhaohui Palace

Zhaohui palace, also known as HUANGSHENG temple. Zhaohui palace was built in Ming Dynasty. It was rebuilt once in Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty. It was destroyed during the cultural revolution and rebuilt later. The gods worshipped in the main hall are Huang Shengdi in the middle, Huang Baishu, the Virgin Mary in the East and the prince in the West. In fact, Zhaohui palace is the ancestral hall of Bingzhou's Chen family in Xiamen. Chen Huacheng, a native of Tong'an, Fujian Province, served as the commander of Jiangnan Navy. He was a famous general who fought against Britain during the Opium War. He is the most famous of the Chen family in modern times.
