Liren bridge is named after Liren harbor. Li Qizhen, the Minister of Taichang temple, a Jinshi in Wanli of Ming Dynasty, lived here. He named Liren after "Liren is beautiful" in ancient books. The street has the same name. The Liren bridge was rebuilt around the 1980s. It was restored to its original appearance in 1997. The bridge railings were newly chiseled and did not match the stone quality of the bridge body. After the tourism development, a new small stone bridge without steps was built dozens of meters to the east of the bridge to facilitate pedestrians on both sides. In order to get the name of the bridge, relevant personnel went to the calligrapher Mr. Jiang Weiyun for advice. Mr. Jiang said without hesitation: "what's the name of the bridge? Since it was built in the year of Wuyin, it's called Wuyin bridge."
