The great wall of Ming Dynasty in Yulin mainly refers to the great wall of Yansui town built in 1474 A.D. on the basis of the former great wall of Sui Dynasty by Yu Zijun, governor of Yansui, which starts from Huangfuchuan in Fugu in the East and ends at yanchangbao in Dingbian in the west, also known as the great wall of Yulin town. The Ming Great Wall of Yulin town is 880km long. It starts from Qingshuiying in the East (now the northeast of Fugu County in Shaanxi Province), crosses fugu, Shenmu, Yuyang, Hengshan, Jingbian and Dingbian, and ends at huamachi in the West (now the northeast of Yanchi County in Ningxia Province). There are 40 castles, 93 piers and 890 yazhais.

The city wall in Yulin is connected with the side wall of Gaojiabao in Shenmu county in the East, jiananbao, shuangshanbao, changlebao and baoningbao in the East, and boluobao in Hengshan County in the West. It winds more than 100 kilometers and has more than 210 beacon towers.
