Xilin Jiuqu

Located 13 kilometers southeast of Xilinhot, Xilin Jiuqu scenic spot is a famous tourist attraction in Ximeng. According to legend, Genghis Khan and his wife came to the Bank of the Xilin River to look down, cattle and sheep scattered, birds low spin, charming scenery. Genghis Khan and his wife were attracted by the beautiful scenery, both galloping. In the gallop, his wife's scarf accidentally fell on the grass, but they did not know it at all. When they looked back, the scarf turned the straight Xilin River into ninety-nine bends, which made the grassland beautiful. Genghis Khan had a feeling: "here is a place of miraculous craftsmanship, clear water and green mountains, and it will become a place of prosperity." The beautiful nine curves, flowing quietly on the green grassland, often evoke people's infinite reverie, many photography lovers have left immortal works.

In 1983, Marco Polo, a historical blockbuster CO produced by China and Italy, shot a lot of location scenes here. The special stamp sheetlet of Xilinguole issued by the Ministry of Posts and telecommunications in 1998 also selected the Jiuqu Bay pattern.

There are a lot of reeds and other aquatic plants growing on both sides of the river bed. Every morning around 10 o'clock, the sun is shining, cattle and sheep are flocking, under the blue sky and white clouds, a natural grassland painting is presented in front of us, just like "people are swimming in the painting". Xilin reservoir is located in the lower reaches of Hequ river. The bedrock on the bank is exposed, which is a good place for boating and fishing.
