Located 12 nautical miles away from Fengxian Bay Tourist Area, tanhu island is composed of 15 islands and reefs, with a total area of 0.64 square kilometers. It is also a virgin land under planning. It is jointly developed by the governments of Shanghai Fengxian and Zhejiang Shengsi.
