Wangyugou Anti Japanese guerrilla base

Wangyugou Anti Japanese guerrilla base is located in the northern mountainous area of Longjing County, northwest of today's Yilan township. It is located at the junction of Longjing and Wangqing counties, surrounded by mountains on all sides, with Yilan river valley basin in the middle. The villages are scattered, and it was called wangyugou at that time.

In 1930, wangyugou branch of the Communist Party of China was established, and revolutionary mass organizations such as peasant association, Communist Youth League, women's Association, children's League, anti imperialist alliance and mutual aid society were formed to carry out the anti imperialist and anti feudal revolutionary struggle. In the autumn of 1931, wangyugou, LIUCai, songlindong, beidong and Nandong branches were set up under the construction district committee to lead the struggle of "autumn harvest" and "spring famine", to create Anti Japanese guerrillas, and to build arms factories, clothing factories, hospitals and schools. In the autumn of 1932, the CPC Dongman special committee and Yanji county Party committee moved to wangyugou village. On November 2 of the same year, the first Soviet Congress of wangyugou district was held, the chairman and members of the Soviet government were elected, the Soviet government of wangyugou district was established, the policy program was formulated, and various revolutionary measures were implemented from the aspects of politics, economy, military, culture and education. Wangyugou Anti Japanese guerrilla base was officially established. In January 1933, the guerrilla brigade of Yanji county was established in wangyugou. In June of the same year, the Soviet government of wangyugou district was renamed as the people's revolutionary government of wangyugou District, and became the Anti Japanese United Front regime based on the alliance of workers and peasants. In December 1934, the Anti Japanese army and people broke through the encirclement and suppression and transferred to the Sandaowan Anti Japanese guerrilla base. The present sites include: the office site of Dongman special committee of the Communist Party of China and Yanji county Party committee; the establishment site of the people's revolutionary government in wangyugou district; the site of the regiment headquarters of the first regiment of the independent division of the second army of the Northeast People's revolutionary army. The site of beidong ordnance industry and the site of wangyugou guerrilla squadron are located in Shangcun, wangyugou. It is listed as a key cultural relic protection area in Jilin Province.
