Shuikeng primeval forest is a small mountain village in Fenghuang Town, Chaoan County. For a long time in the past, Yamamura has been unknown. In recent years, because the village has one of the best preserved virgin forests in Chaozhou City, it has become "famous".

Characteristic resources

The forest area here is nearly 5000 mu, and the dense forest area is nearly 2000 mu. Among them, the dense forest of 500 mu in heding mountain belongs to primeval forest, which has never been exploited and felled. There are 400 mu of ancient trees in the forest. According to the villagers, all the ancient trees are more than 300 years old. One of them is nearly 700 years old and has a chest circumference of 6.5 meters. Because the ecological environment is very ideal, there are many kinds of birds and animals in the dense forest, such as turtledove, partridge, pheasant, sparrow, thrush, hare and so on. Around the village, there are 1500 mu of bamboo forest, the scenery is very spectacular. In addition, on the southeast slope of the village, there is a grassland with an area of 1000 mu suitable for grazing. It's called a puddle. As the name suggests, it's the sound of water. In the northwest of the village, there are three longitudinal parallel mountain streams, namely mazhuhan stream, Shibitou stream and guizhukeng stream. Mazhuhan river has a 71 meter high huge stone wall near Jianxi road. The water falls from the stone wall into a waterfall; Shibitou River Falls 30 meters below the water level, symphonic music, and flowers bloom all over the mountain; guizhukeng River Falls 15 meters below the water level, forming a 6-level waterfall. With good ecological environment and rich tourism resources, jiaoshuikeng has become a tourist attraction in Chaozhou.
