South District cooperative Memorial

During the Yan'an period, the CPC Central Committee established the South District cooperative in goumen, Yan'an in December 1936, and moved to Liulin village in May 1938. The cooperatives in the Southern District have made great contributions to the development of the border region economy and the supply of people's livelihood in Yan'an. Liulin village still retains a 16 hole stone cave and a five bay two-story building of brick and wood structure in the south cooperative. The stone kiln is an office building, and the small building is a business building. The brick columns on both sides of the ground floor of the small building are engraved with: "developing economic cooperation must be done", "promoting democratic industry and agriculture", and the wooden plaque in the middle of the building reads "South District cooperative society of Yan'an county". The memorial is on the first floor of the old business building. With a large number of material objects and text, books, photos and materials, this paper reflects the development process of cooperatives in Southern District.
