Forest Park

Caoyutang provincial forest park is located in Jingning County, 23 kilometers away from the county seat, in the mountains above 1000 meters above sea level at the eastern foot of Chi mu. The terrain is high and steep, with undulating forest, a group of primitive forest scenery. Step into grass carp pond, a kind of love will arise spontaneously. Walking along the avenue, you can hear the sound of spring, birds and insects. Compared with the city, it is elegant and pleasant, like a paradise.

Caoyutang Forest Park covers a total area of 1066.67 hectares. It has a vast fir forest area, Huangshan pine forest area, and the largest cypress forest area in the province. It gathers all kinds of famous cypresses at home and abroad, as well as more than 100 other precious tree species. Caoyutang forest area is one of the 21 bases for the introduction of precious trees in China, with a large number of precious trees: fragrant Japanese big leaf cedar and North American cedar; tangible trees For example, the pagoda of Japan's luohanbai, Japan's Sabina vulgaris; there are also golden pine, Japanese fir and other valuable species; there are also known as the "world Lord" of the United States giant fir, Sequoia and other precious trees. As well as grass carp pond waters, Puyang reservoir, Tiantai hall, Madame Tang Temple, stone cave and other landscape, it is an ideal place for tourism and scientific research. The elevation of the park is between 800-1500 meters, which has obvious characteristics of mountain forest climate. The park is rich in animal and plant resources, with a variety of species, and the forest coverage rate is 97.3%. In the park, there are many beautiful peaks, many ravines, vast sky and earth, cool climate, abundant grass and green mattress, beautiful trees, which can be called "paradise", "cool world" and "green pearl".

There are 32 orders, 83 families and 9319 species of terrestrial wild vertebrates in the park, including clouded leopard, yellow bellied horned pheasant and other 40 species of national key protected animals, as well as Moyan stone carvings, Liuyun feiwu, santaijian, Dujuan slope, Tang Madame temple and so on, which integrate the cultural and historical relics with the wild interest of mountains and forests.

Caoyutang was approved as a provincial forest park by the Provincial Bureau in 1995, completed the overall planning of the park in 1999, and was approved as a national AA tourist area in 2002.
