Tiangong Mountain Forest Park

Tiangong mountain forest park is located in the northwest of Lixian County, Hunan Province, on the Bank of the censhui River, to the southeast of Jinluo, to the northwest of Zhakou, to the south of Wangjiachang reservoir, to the north of Songzi in the south of Hubei Province, belonging to Wuling mountains. The highest peak is 417 meters.

brief introduction

Tiangongshan Forest Park is the only provincial forest park in Li county. The former state-owned tiangongshan forest farm was built in September 1958. After decades of cultivation and management, the forest distribution in the park has been greatly improved and the layout is reasonable. In March 1992, it was approved to be a provincial forest park. In 1993, with the approval of the forestry department, the park was officially renamed "Tiangong Mountain Forest Park in Hunan Province", and it was opened in July 1994. The total area is 732 hectares and the forest coverage rate is 85%. In recent years, we have concentrated on increasing efforts in human and financial resources to speed up the construction of scenic spots. Fairy Cave, Tiangong temple and Madame's village are three major scenic spots in a triangle, which echo each other and are officially open to tourists.

Fairy Cave

Fairy Cave is divided into three layers, covering an area of 20000 square meters. There are many wonders in the cave. Fairy Cave is a limestone cave, in which stalagmites stand out, forming a moving picture, all kinds of forms are lifelike. Fairy Cave is divided into upper, middle and lower layers, which are interlinked with each other. The cave is wide and far-reaching, with Bell and breast protruding. The shape is unique, and it is in line with the shape and spirit of myths and legends, so it is lifelike. The scenic spot is composed of wordless Tianshu, fairy cave archway, Yuxian bridge, Jiezi Pavilion, forest of Steles, incense burner, etc.

Tiangong Temple

Tiangong temple was built in the Tang Dynasty, with a long history and strong incense. It was a famous place for worshiping gods and worshiping Buddhas before liberation. The pilgrims of Tiangong Temple come from all over the world, and there is an endless stream of pilgrims. The legend of stone mortar makes people forget to return. It is said that Nuwa once splashed a stone on the top of the mountain in the shape of a stone mortar. There is rice in the mortar. It is inexhaustible, but it only provides food for one person for one day. It has saved many poor people. Therefore, it is named "Tiangong mountain" and has built a Tiangong temple. The stone mortar still exists today, and the temple gate still exists. In recent years, the people have spontaneously rebuilt the temple on the original site, and the incense is constantly burning. The scenic spot is mainly composed of Tiangong temple, Shijiu, Tongqian temple, wangri Pavilion, guanri platform, Shuting, Zhulin Pavilion, etc.

Madame Village

Madame village scenic spot takes Madame village as the center, and is divided into four small villages. According to records, Madame's village was given by Madame Gao, Li Zicheng's wife, for 18 years when she was defeated in the south. The mountain was steep and the pass was strong. Madame's village is composed of a gathering hall, a Shuai room, a general's room, a barracks, a school yard, a trench, a suspension bridge and a watchtower. Up to now, the site of the village still exists. On the mountain, we can see the HaoGou, ancient battlefield, bingzhai, yinmajing, training ground, xiamadun, etc., which are hidden and abandoned weapons everywhere. Madame village is located in the north of Liyang plain. It is an important place for military strategists since ancient times.
