Li Qingquan, a native of Jinjiang, is an overseas Chinese in the Philippines. In 1926, he built a three story villa at the foot of the flag raising mountain, with a large Roman column on the front, solemn and steady. Located at No.7 Qishan Road, Li Qingquan villa was built in 1926. The building is close to the mountain and faces the sea. You can see most of the XiaGu Strait. The courtyard of the villa is paved with polychromatic granite pebbles to form a path, forming a colorful pattern, which makes the villa more beautiful. The garden is planted with rare Araucaria and flowers. The European style fountain in the center and rockery Pavilion make the villa more natural and warm.
Li Qingquan villa is one of the best protected old houses on Gulangyu Island. It has always been inhabited by its descendants. Its layout is basically complete, and you can still feel it. Gulangyu is now the best preserved and famous old villa.
