Huqiao ancient bridge

Huqiao ancient bridge is an ancient bridge 25 kilometers east of Lixin County, Anhui Province.

Huqiao ancient bridge is located in the southwest of Huqiao village, Wangtuan Town, Lixin County, with an unknown age. The bridge spans over the Qianhe River, with a total length of 14 meters. The bridge has 5 holes and a width of 4 meters. It is of masonry structure. The bridge deck is paved with rectangular stones, the bridge piers are shuttle shaped, the bottom is paved with cylindrical footstones, and the upper part is built with grey bricks. The whole building is simple and solemn. It was rebuilt in Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, and it was repaired repeatedly in Kangxi and Yongzheng periods of the Qing Dynasty. At present, it is a key cultural relic protection unit at the county level.

The bridge spans Gonghe River and Qianhe River, with a total length of 14 meters. The bridge has 5 holes and a width of 4 meters. It is of masonry structure. The bridge deck is paved with rectangular stones, the bridge piers are shuttle shaped, the bottom is paved with cylindrical footstones, and the upper part is built with grey bricks. The whole building is simple and solemn. It has been rebuilt since Jiajing of Ming Dynasty, and it has been repaired repeatedly in Kangxi and Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty. Now it is available for the research of "rebuilding hujiaqiao stele" in May of Daoguang of Qing Dynasty. Now it is a key cultural relic protection unit at the county level.
