Liu Jiaji martyrs cemetery

Liujiaji martyrs cemetery is located 12.5km northeast of Lixin County in Anhui Province and 60m west of liujiaji street. The cemetery covers an area of 3600 square meters. There are five rows of tombs in the north and South behind the memorial tablet, each row has five East and West tombs, a total of 25 martyrs' tombs.

Development history

On May 11, 1948, the 11th regiment of the Henan Anhui Soviet Area of the Chinese people's Liberation Army (which used to use the code name of the Longshan Army) analyzed the enemy's situation and returned to the north according to the six divisions' telegram order, attacking the enemy's new 74 divisions and cooperating with the upcoming battle of Eastern Henan by the Chinese army. On the way, I stayed in liuran, Daizhuang, Zhangzhuang and Xuzhuang of Liujia market town. More than 1200 people of the new 74 division of the Kuomintang stationed at Wangtuan Dong Jiju station searched and attacked our station. After observing the enemy's situation, the head of the 11th regiment of the Soviet area immediately ordered the troops to stop the enemy from three sides. After a day of fierce fighting, we finally won. In 1983, the people's Government of Lixin County built a martyr's cemetery in Nantou of liujiaji to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who died in the battle. Because the cemetery covers a small area, it can no longer meet the needs of the development of the situation. In 1999, the government of Lixin County decided to move the cemetery to a new site. The martyrs cemetery is the patriotic education base of the county. Every year on Tomb Sweeping Day, cadres and young students come to pay homage to the martyrs.
