Mao Zedong Caixi investigation memorial hall is located in the north of Shanghang County, 200 meters away from 205 national road. The museum is a special memorial hall displaying and publicizing Comrade Mao Zedong's important revolutionary practice activities in Caixi.

In December 2016, it was selected into the list of national red tourist attractions.

In September 2018, with the approval of China Museum Association, Mao Zedong Caixi investigation memorial hall is a national second-class Museum.

Introduction to the memorial

The Museum covers an area of 18750 square meters, of which the building area is 7300 square meters. There are historical sites such as the site of Mao Zedong's Caixi Township investigation meeting, Guangrong Pavilion, Lenin terrace, etc.

Detailed introduction of the memorial

There are 10 exhibition halls in the investigation exhibition room of Mao Zedong's Caixi township. The exhibition line is 350 meters long. Mao Zedong once went to Caixi Township three times to carry out the investigation. In late November 1933, Comrade Mao Zedong led the guards of the central communication platoon to come to Caixi for the third time to carry out the extensive social investigation. This visit to Caixi is at the time of the fifth anti "encirclement and suppression" and anti blockade struggle. At that time, Wang Ming's "left" wrong line in the party caused more and more losses to China's revolutionary cause, and the revolution was at a critical juncture. In order to save the Chinese revolution, Comrade Mao Zedong traveled a long way from Ruijin, Jiangxi Province to Caixi to make an in-depth social investigation, to understand how the famous Caixi Township in the Central Soviet area built the backward countryside into an advanced revolutionary base, and to sum up the experience of the people of Caixi in administrative construction, economic construction, cultural education, expanding the Red Army, and giving preferential treatment to the families of the Red Army. During the investigation, Comrade Mao Zedong also went to the public fields of the Red Army to inspect production, took part in production labor, changed the name of shuaikeng village, summed up the inventions and creations of the working people, and wrote the famous "investigation of Caixi township".

In July 1929, the people of Caixi Township in Shanghang, Fujian Province, with the help and support of the Fourth Red Army, held an armed riot and succeeded, and then established the Soviet government and trade union of Caixi district. In late November 1933, in order to sum up and popularize the construction experience of Caixi revolutionary base and prepare for the second congress of the Chinese Soviet Union, Mao Zedong came to Caixi for the third time to carry out extensive and in-depth social investigation activities. Mao Zedong held various kinds of investigation meetings in the district Soviet government and the district trade union. At the meeting, Mao Zedong listened to the reports of the cadres and the masses on the expansion of the Red Army, preferential treatment for the family members of the Red Army, political power construction, production support, economic construction, culture and education, price comparison, and had a heated discussion with the participants. After more than ten days of investigation, he wrote down the famous Caixi Township investigation. It has solved the problem that the construction of base areas is not only necessary but also possible under the revolutionary environment.

Caixi glory pavilion was built in the spring of 1933 by the Soviet government of Fujian Province in recognition of the glorious achievements of Caixi people. In 1955, Comrade Mao Zedong personally inscribed "glory Pavilion". There are only two inscriptions on the Pavilion by Comrade Mao Zedong. The other is the aiwan Pavilion in Hunan Province.
