Heyuan Cultural Square

Located at the intersection of Dongjiang River and Xinfengjiang River in our city, the cultural square was built in 2002, covering an area of 204800 square meters. It is divided into three functional activity areas: central area, east wing area and west wing area. It is a large comprehensive urban park integrating leisure, sightseeing, fitness, assembly and cultural entertainment.

Main attractions

On both sides of the gate of the cultural square, the magnificent relief of six "sails" are hidden in the flowers, symbolizing the hard struggle, brave progress of Heyuan people, who are related to the glorious revolutionary tradition.

The two step sidewalks in the middle of the gate spray water, and the "transfer stone" in several water dragon pillars, like the Earth rotating in the universe, slowly rotates, bringing infinite beautiful square to the people. The central square covers an area of 30000 square meters and can accommodate 40000 visitors. On the right side of the central square are rockeries, rest corridors, pavilions and so on, which are decorated on both sides of the garden road with bronze carvings reflecting the life customs of Hakka people in Heyuan.

The square is mainly landscaped by plants, with reasonable arrangement of greening trees and shrubs. Trees and grasslands meet each other, with rich levels, forming a beautiful scene of green trees, green grass, flowers blooming and competing for beauty.
