According to Donghu county annals, there is a huge stone in the south of the Yangtze River, which is sixty or seventy feet across, like a raft, so it's called shilingpai, from which the name of shilingpai comes.

Shiling brand is 32 meters high, 12 meters wide at the top, 13 meters wide at the bottom, and about 4 meters thick. It weighs more than 4300 tons. From a distance, it is magnificent and impressive. In the late Zhou Dynasty of the Five Dynasties, the governance of xiazhou was once set up in Shipai. During the period of Jianyan (1127-1130 A.D.), Yiling County of xiazhou "moved the governance of Shibi mountain, and revived in the fifth year of Shaoxing (1135 A.D.), which was set up in Shipai for six or seven years.
