Dengying stone

At the top of the peak on the South Bank of Dengying gorge, there are four natural strange stones, just like the image of Tang monks and disciples seeking scriptures from the West. This is Dengying stone, known as "the first stone in the Yangtze River". When the sunset shines in the West and the sunset penetrates the peak, it looks like the Tang Monk's master and apprentice on the screen of the lantern drama.

Dengyingshi, the first stone in the Yangtze River

Among the Dengying stones, the most famous one is Shaseng stone. Standing on the top of the cliff, it is mushroom shaped and weighs more than 100 tons. The supporting area at the bottom is only more than 200 square centimeters, with an average weight of nearly half a ton per square centimeter. It can be called a world wonder.

"Shaseng" Lantern stone

There is a piece of Dengying stone called "Shaseng". It is heavy headed, light footed and angular. It weighs more than 100 tons. It is only 200 square centimeters long on the "small foot". The precarious strange stone has been standing on the top of the mountain for many years, so it has won the reputation of "the first stone in the long river".
