Daoxiang Temple

Daoxiang temple, also known as Laojun temple, is located at the bottom of Daode Lane in East Street, built in Qing Dynasty. The whole building has mountain gate, Laojun hall, Sanxiao hall, xishen hall and Mahayana Pavilion. Although it is not a red wall with golden tiles, it has a peculiar shape, which is opposite to Laojun hall. It is built on the earth platform with a height of more than one meter. It is a pavilion building with a sharp top. There is a rolling shed in front of the hall and a statue of the old gentleman riding on a green ox holding a hexagram plate inside. This is a unique architectural style of Taoism and a precious heritage of ancient Chinese culture.
