Daxitanghe scenic spot is located 6 kilometers southeast of huangsongpu forest farm in Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province. Daxitaihe is the phonetic conversion of "xitahe" in Manchu. "Xitahe" is a kind of cold water fish. This river was once rich in this kind of fish. The fish is very big, so it is called "daxitai River".

The source of the artesian spring is from nine underground waters, known as "Nine Star spring". The nine springs gush continuously. The spring water is clear and sweet, rich in a variety of trace elements needed by the human body. It is an ideal drinking water. The river is about 2 km long, with winding river and many waterfalls and springs. The waterfall water is like a step, the water pattern is clear, the mist and spray are like drizzle. Along the plank road, you can enjoy the charm of mysterious water, touch the waterfall with your hand, and feel the magic of nature. With lush trees and quiet shade on both sides, it is the most intact virgin forest in Changbai Mountain. There are precious tree species such as Korean pine, Tilia amurensis, Taxus chinensis, Sorbus mandshurica, Fraxinus mandshurica, and various fungi, wild fruits and herbs grow in the forest. It's both magical and beautiful. There are many wonderful and moving legends. The fresh air with high negative oxygen ion content is known as "natural forest oxygen bar". "Daxitai River" rafting fun, enjoy "Changbai Mountain first drift" reputation. Daxitanghe scenic spot is the closest to Changbai Mountain and has the most primitive ecological characteristics.
