Revolutionary martyrs' cemetery is a kind of martyrs' cemetery, which is built to commemorate the martyrs who died in the revolutionary war and gave their lives for the revolutionary cause. It is a garden with monument, tower, pavilion, museum and other memorial buildings.

The people's governments of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government have successively built more than 1100 revolutionary martyrs' cemeteries in all parts of the country in accordance with the provisions of the Interim Regulations on commendation and compensation for revolutionary servicemen's sacrifice and death, issued by the Ministry of internal affairs of the central people's Government of the people's Republic of China on December 11, 1950, and have collected, arranged, displayed and exhibited historical materials on the struggle of revolutionary martyrs. The cemetery is managed by special personnel. People, military officers and soldiers, overseas Chinese and international friends often come to pay their respects.
