Heilongjiang Mudanfeng National Forest Park is located in the southeast of Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. It is composed of Mudan Tower Scenic Area, little Guilin scenic area, ski resort and primeval forest exploration area, with a planning area of 8000 hectares.

Peony Tower Scenic Area is located in the west of Heilongjiang Mudanfeng National Forest Park. The tower is 27.4 meters high, 6 meters in diameter, seven stories, with tower stairs spiraling up. The black bear stone is 100 meters to the west of the peony pagoda, sitting in the east to the West.

Little Guilin scenic spot

Xiaoguilin scenic spot is located in the northeast of Mudanfeng National Forest Park in Heilongjiang Province, on Mopan Mountain with an altitude of about 500 meters. There are fairy spring, a line of sky, overlooking cliff, fairy cave, guard stone, God frog, stone turtle, Wangjiang Pavilion, forest bathing beach and other attractions.

Development and construction

Infrastructure

In 2015, the main part of Mudanfeng highway was opened to traffic. The project started construction in 2012, starting from the south end of South Ring Road in Jiangnan Development Zone and ending at Mudanfeng Forest National Park, with a total length of 9.051km, a road width of 38m, two-way six row motorway, green belt, bicycle lane and sidewalk.

Honorary recognition

In 1981, Mudanfeng in Heilongjiang Province was approved as a provincial natural secondary forest system nature reserve.

In 1992, Mudanfeng in Heilongjiang Province was approved as a national forest park by the former Ministry of forestry.

In 1994, Mudanfeng in Heilongjiang Province was approved as a national nature reserve by the State Council.

History and culture

In the Qing Dynasty, general ningguta, in order to perform martial arts, hunted and paid tribute. The area of Mudan peak was called "beiweichang".

During the period of the Republic of China, Wang Shixuan, governor of Ning'an County, toured the area on horseback. Because he thought it was the nearest peak of the Yangtze River, he built a monument on this peak.

During the Japanese invasion, in order to measure, a big iron frame was set up on the top of the mountain, so the local people called it "big frame mountain". When they robbed the timber of the virgin forest, they built the light railway into the mountains, called "big and small yantonggou". They also built the guard road along the ridge of the big shelf, along the chicken's claw top, to the southeast mountain of the Tieling River, and attacked the Anti Japanese allied army post and secret camp for many times.
