The tomb of General Yang Jie and its stone carvings are located at the eastern foot of Caomiao, Yuxing Township, Tianchang City. Tianchang City is the largest, the highest specification, and has a certain historical value of the early Qing Dynasty tombs.

Details

The owner of the tomb is Yang Mingjie, a native of Chongjian Township, Baoying County, Jiangsu Province. Born in 1618, Wanli, Ming Dynasty, and died in 1700, Kangxi, Qing Dynasty. He was an official of qingguanglu, a general of Zhaowu, a Shaobao, a prince and a Taibao, and a commander-in-chief of Jiangnan. After his death, he was granted a gift to Prince Shaofu. It has been recorded in history that throughout his military life, he led his troops to Mongolia, Taiwan and other places to fight against foreign aggression and made outstanding achievements.

Architectural features

The tomb of General Yang, covering an area of 25 mu, was built in 1685. It is magnificent and magnificent. In front of the tombs, there are 500 meters long and 30 meters wide Shinto (the same as the Shinto of Fengyang imperial mausoleum), which is rare. In front of the tomb, there are all kinds of stone carvings, such as shihuabiao, shipaifang, shixiangsheng and epitaph, which are basically well preserved. These stone carvings are unique in conception, beautiful in shape, exquisite in craftsmanship and lifelike in shape. They are really rare art treasures and are listed as key cultural relics protection units of Anhui Province by Anhui provincial government.
