Wanjing Villa

It is located in the south foot of the east of Huqiu, the "No.1 scenic spot in Wuzhong". This is originally a Dongshan Temple site. It was an antique architectural garden built and opened in 1982. It is a professional bonsai garden for the essence of Su Pai bonsai, and the bonsai is the most famous garden in Suzhou. The so-called bonsai, a basin of a landscape, and because of its high and low buildings, belongs to the villa type, so Wanjing villa as the garden name. Enter the gate of Huqiu, cross Haiyong bridge and walk along Huanshan road for 100 meters. The villa covers an area of 24 mu, facing the rippling mountains and rivers and the undulating hills. There are rockery waterfall, pine forest and stream in the villa. The environment is quiet and elegant. There are pavilions, corridors and winding paths in the villa. Like Yongcui villa on the west side of Shangshan Road, Wanjing villa integrates natural landscape with antique buildings, becoming another garden in the park of Huqiu scenic spot, adding a new scenic spot to Huqiu.

Introduction to the villa

The entrance to the garden is the foyer and courtyard. There is a huge door frame with mountains and waters. It shows two waterfalls flying down the pool, forming a vivid and wonderful landscape painting. There are more than 10 steps on both sides of the pool, and the ground above is flat. Wansongtang, Jijin Pavilion and other buildings and corridors are uneven in height and clear in hierarchy. Here is the stump bonsai area. The granite platform and railings divide the exhibition into several communities, displaying more than 500 large and medium bonsai pots. Most of the fine arts of Suzhou bonsai are concentrated here. There are five hundred year old Sabina vulgaris "the legacy of Qin and Han Dynasties" who have won the national bonsai competition special prize, Yuzhuang "Longshu" and Jinsong "cangyu craggy" who have won the first prize, and Sabina vulgaris "Weiran with Sihao" who have won the second prize; Yuzhuang co planting "Hualin Xinyu" who have won the first national flower expo excellent work prize, and Quemei "hanque contending for spring" who have won the excellent prize; there are two or three tons of trees which are more than 40 years old , guzhuangquemei, known as the treasure of Zhenyuan and the king of bonsai, and more than 20 pots of bonsai won the best and excellent award of provincial stump bonsai. From the Jijin Pavilion, there is a North Gate on the east side of the Song Feng Mingyue Xie, which is connected with the Yanghe stream, ganrenshi and other scenic spots in Huqiu. Visitors can go in and out at will.
