Synopsis

Qingsongling production brigade in a mountainous area in the North has a bumper harvest. Xiumei, a young girl, is called "tomboy". One morning, she and Da Leng secretly drove the team's cart out to practice. Unexpectedly, the first time they drove out, the horse was frightened. Fortunately, Uncle Zhang Wanshan, the model keeper, stopped the frightened horse, so there was no accident. Xiumei and Daling have no personal purpose in learning how to drive. They are just dissatisfied with Qian Guang's speculative activities. They hope to learn how to drive and take Qian Guang's whip. Captain Zhou Cheng, Xiumei's brother, not only doesn't support the young people's enthusiasm, but also credulously believes Qian Guang's words and criticizes his sister Xiumei, which further encourages Qian Guang's prestige.
