Heron paradise
Egret paradise is one of the eight new sceneries in the South China Sea, located in Dongfeng Village, Huangji management area, Jiujiang Town. Since the reign of Daoguang (1821-1850) in the Qing Dynasty, egrets have been breeding here for generations. Up to now, more than 60000 herons live in the area of nearly three hectares surrounded by fish ponds and bamboo forests. The best time to watch egrets is in the morning or in the evening. Egrets, grey egrets, grass egrets and other kinds of egrets, due to the habit of ambush in the daytime and ambush in the night, fly up and down, sing in unison with a hundred birds, and glow with the sun, forming a great spectacle.
