Zhoukou Longhu scenic spot is located in the hinterland of the Huang Huai plain. It is 4.4 km wide from east to west, 2.5 km long from north to south, 14 km long dike, covering an area of 11 square kilometers (16483 mu) and water area of more than 8000 mu. Its momentum and scale have eclipsed Hangzhou West Lake and Wuhan East Lake. Surrounded by the lake, the ancient city stands in the water; there is a city in the lake, and there is a lake in the city, which is known as an inland wonder and a famous pearl in the Central Plains.

Longhu is located in Huaiyang County, close to 106 National Highway and Shang Zhou highway. It is named because it is the capital and resting place of Fuxi family, the founder of Chinese culture and the "Dragon Master". It includes Liuhu lake, Xiange lake, Nantan lake and Donghu Lake, with a total area of 11 square kilometers and 16483 mu, encircling Huaiyang, a famous historical and cultural city.

Main attractions

In the Liuhu Lake in front of the wuchaomen gate of Taihao mausoleum, there is one of the famous Seven platforms and eight sceneries in ancient Chen Dynasty, "suting lotus boat". According to records, during the Northern Song Dynasty, when Su frog came to Chenzhou to teach, he visited the scenery of ancient Chen and admired the scenery of Liuhu lake. He read and wrote poems on this high platform and invited Su Shi, Zhang andao, Li Jianfu and others to write poems and paintings on the platform. Later generations built pavilions to commemorate their literary talents and achievements. The pavilion is shaped like a boat, symbolizing the "official sea boat". Su Shi said in his poem: "in the west of the east iron Tomb of Taihao temple, a bottle was once carried with his son; when you look back at the flying sill of the County Pavilion, you can see the semi hidden dike of the masts and poles in the north; when you drink bean soup, you can think of two swans, and when you drink water from the mouth of the river, you can rely on a long time; now there is no one to share the victory, and you can be advised to mention it by the pot and the bird.". There is peach blossom island in the south of Liuhu lake. It is named because peach trees are planted all over the island. Zhang Yong, the governor of the Song Dynasty, deeply loved the scenery of Longhu Lake. He spent 34 years on Taohua island and built a unique rain watching platform. The main buildings are: Lengfeng hall, Qingsi hall, Liubei Pavilion, Liufang Pavilion, Xiangyin Pavilion, Zhongyan Pavilion, Huancui Pavilion, Xixin Pavilion and Wangjing Pavilion. It is one of the eight sceneries in ancient Chen Dynasty. In the Xiange lake, there is a memorial site for Confucius Chen Cai who had no food but kept singing; in the Nantan lake, there is the tomb of Chen Hu Gong, the founder of Chen state and the ancestor of Chen surname; in the East Lake, there is a painting platform for Fuxi to observe and draw eight trigrams; in the north bank, there is the tomb of Liu Chong, the king of Chen of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the memorial site for Yan Emperor's agricultural grain and grass tasting Chen Sheng, Wu Guang, etc. Longhu water quality is good, rich in fish, carp, crucian carp, grass carp more than 20 kinds. Huaiyang fish tastes delicious and has a long reputation in Eastern Henan. Huaiyang fish feast, is a unique, now fishing, now slaughter, now do, now eat. It is delicious and has a long aftertaste. The Dragon Lake is clear and vast, with silver snake dancing. On a sunny day, there are clear waves, lush reeds, shallow fish and fragrant lotus flowers; on a rainy day, the water and sky are the same color, the clouds are vast, and the faint fragrance is blowing, just like a fairyland. This inland landscape is as beautiful as the West Lake.
