Hebei provincial capital children's activity center

Hebei provincial capital children's activity center was built in the late 1930s as a Japanese private villa. Shijiazhuang was liberated and nationalized in November 1947. After liberation, the land was expropriated and expanded. It was named "people's Park" and gradually introduced breeding animals to become an animal based park. In 1983, it was rebuilt and renamed "children's activity center of Hebei provincial capital", also known as "children's Park". After three years of preparation, the main project was completed in 1988 and officially opened in June 1989. The park covers an area of 8.4 hectares. In 2000, the park was expanded to 8.4 hectares.

About the park

In the South Gate of the park, there are arch neon lights with the name of the park, large stainless steel "waves" and round square fountains, which add vitality to the theme of the park. There are 12 zodiac stone sculptures, helicopters, water world and other recreational facilities in the park; the waterside song stage, fitness square and peace square are distributed in the park, and the 10000 square meter children's fun park has a pool, climbing wall, sea biological landscape wall and seven star rock fountain. The brick concrete rockery "Menglong mountain" stands at the north gate of the park, which is connected with the undulating green space and reproduces the natural scenery of the mountain. The remaining Japanese style buildings in the 1930s in Northwest China have been built into the exhibition hall of patriotic education of Japanese invasion of China. In the northwest of the park stands a natural mountain stone monument engraved with the red characters "for children". It is novel in shape and can be regarded as a scene. The monument also records the units and individuals who donated money and sponsored the construction of the activity center in that year. The large-scale ornamental greenhouse in the northeast is a place for the display of flowers and plants. The small botanical garden in the East is rich in varieties, fresh and elegant. There are more than 80 kinds of plants and more than 100000 plants in the park. It is a comprehensive park integrating education, entertainment and recreation for children.
