Jiaoyintang used to be a pond on an island in the Baohe river. It was T-shaped with the Baohe River, lying in the middle of the Baohe river. Footprints pond is about 20 meters long and 8 meters wide, which looks like a deep footprints left by giant. It is said that Bao Zheng often visited xianghuadun when he was young. At that time, there was no "jade belt bridge" in the north of the island. One day, Bao Zheng had a good time here. He wanted to go to the other bank to have a look. Although the water was not wide, there was no bridge or boat, so he had to jump forward. It is said that Bao Zheng was originally born by Wenqu star in the sky, so this jump left a deep and big footprint on the island, forming a small pond over time, so people call it "footprint pond". This legend is a bit mythical, because of Hefei people's respect for Bao Zheng.
