The ancient temple of Tianning had a very prosperous time. With the vicissitudes of life, wars and cultural revolution, the ancient temple disappeared. In September of 1985, there was only one unstable Guanyin pavilion with a height of less than two meters and an area of less than 18 square meters. There was only one image on the shrine for tourists to visit.

Wan Renying, who was 61 years old at that time, came here devoutly to shave her hair and become a nun. She taught the Dharma and called Shi Shunyin. She also donated 6000 yuan she had saved for many years to support the temple. Under the example of the abbot of the ancient temple, it took seven years to build a grand comprehensive temple. With a construction area of 5000 square meters, it stands at the south end of Wanli District, receiving pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. The newly completed temple gate is majestic and spectacular. The temple of siheyuan is solemn and elegant. It has a brick concrete two-story structure. The rafters of the temple are connected with each other. It is beautiful and magnificent. The main hall has a low curtain. The Tathagata sits in the center. The two faces of the Four Heavenly Kings droop slightly. The pure water Guanyin holds the pure bottle. The eighteen golden Arhats on both sides are exquisitely carved, vivid and lifelike. Houdian Island, 148 Bodhisattvas, weituodian subdues the dragon and subdues the tiger. The East and West halls are the bedroom, living room and guest room of Buddhist nuns. When the golden rooster crows or the setting sun sets, the ancient temple of Tianning is brightly lit. More than 40 nuns and Buddhist monks clean up and stand in front of the Buddha, and smoke overflows. In the past five years, Tianning Temple has won a good reputation, and the grand Buddhist events of the ancient temple should be the epitome and portrayal of today's Cathay and Minfeng.

Yinishi, the abbot of Tianning Temple, was born in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province in 1925. He studied under master Yicheng and was the 11th generation descendant of Fuyang sect. He also serves as director of Jiangxi Buddhist Association, President of Nanchang Buddhist Association, deputy to Nanchang people's Congress, member of the CPPCC, and member of the CPPCC of Wanli District, Nanchang city. He was born in 1969 in Datong City, Shanxi Province and graduated from Minnan Buddhist College.
