Fenhe Scenic Area

Fenhe scenic area was built in October 1998. The first phase of the project was completed and opened to the outside world in September 2000, with a total investment of 430 million yuan. The scenic spot starts 155 meters from the upstream of Shengli Bridge in the north and ends at the South gaosukou of Binhe West Road in the south. It is 6 kilometers long and 500 meters wide, covering an area of 300 hectares. Focusing on the theme of "people, city, ecology and culture", Fenhe scenic area has six landscape areas, four squares, ten gardens on both sides of the scenic area, and 14 scenic spots with their own characteristics.

Along the West Bank of Fenhe River, "Jinfen ancient rhyme", "Liyuan aftertone" and "Wuhuan Shenghui" squares respectively reflect the long historical context of the three Jin Dynasties, the broad and profound opera culture and the vigorous sports and fitness scenes. Along the East Bank of Fenhe River, "Fenhe evening ferry", "Yanqiu", "beach clear water", "beyond time and space", "source of life", "ritai", "Qiting", "ferry", "Huafang", "music" and other scenic spots can appreciate the perfect combination of modern civilization and nature. The lake in the scenic spot is dotted with colorful rubber dam, large music fountain, bird island, oasis, duck house and so on, showing a picture of wave light, water and sky. As night falls, more than 8000 lamps of different styles and more than 80 kinds in various scenic spots complement each other with four light belts along the East-West Riverside Road, showing a colorful three-dimensional beauty.

Taiyuan Fenhe scenic area, namely the treatment and beautification project of Taiyuan urban section of Fenhe River. The scenic spot starts 155 meters from the upstream of Shengli Bridge in the north and 125 meters from the downstream of nanneihuan bridge in the south, with a total length of 6 kilometers and a width of 500 meters, covering an area of 300 hectares. It is designed as an artificial compound channel, which is divided into East and West channels by the middle partition wall. The east side is a clear water channel with a width of 220 meters, which is divided into three levels of water storage Lake by four rubber dams; the west side is a muddy water channel with a width of 80 meters, which is used to discharge the upstream flood and irrigation water of the reservoir. A box culvert is arranged on both sides of the East and the west to receive the water from the urban sewage pipeline and the side hill branch ditch along the line and send it to the downstream sewage treatment plant for purification. From planning and design to construction, Fenhe scenic spot has realized the concept of "people-oriented", always centering on the theme of "human, city, ecology and culture", organically combining river management, environmental protection and urban greening, and comprehensively renovating the environment, maintaining the good natural ecology of urban waterfront, realizing the harmonious coexistence of human and nature, and the coordination of urban development and environmental construction We should pay attention to development.

A total of 15286 trees, 8301 shrubs, 40000 square meters of color patches and 820000 square meters of lawn are planted in the scenic area, forming 1.3 million square meters of green space and 1.78 million square meters of water surface, increasing the per capita public green space by 1.5 square meters in the urban area.

In the densely populated urban center, the formation of such a large-scale green corridor plays an important role in purifying air, eliminating water pollution, regulating temperature and increasing air humidity.

On August 21, 2001, General Secretary Jiang Zemin pointed out when inspecting the Fenhe scenic spot in Taiyuan: "this green belt is too important for the city, and this project has contributed a lot to the environment of the city.". On December 28, 2001, the Ministry of construction of the people's Republic of China awarded the project the "best example award of human settlements in China" and recommended the United Nations to apply for the relevant awards of human settlements. On May 30, 2002, UN Habitat decided to award Taiyuan Fenhe scenic spot the "2002 United Nations Dubai international best model award for improving people's environment". In 2006, it was awarded the honorary titles of "National Excellent Sports Park" and "National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot".

According to the overall planning, Taiyuan Fenhe scenic area, namely the Taiyuan urban section of Fenhe River, will be further extended for 6.2 km to the South and North, with a total investment of 600 million yuan. Relevant departments are actively carrying out project approval, feasibility study and fund raising. In the future, Fenhe scenic area will form a green ecological corridor with a length of nearly 13 kilometers, providing a good place for leisure, vacation and sightseeing for the city people of the province.
