The Museum of Qin and Han Dynasty culture and history has the characteristics of Chengshan and far-reaching historicity, national color and modern style, so as to show the long history of the Chinese nation and carry out patriotic education for the tourists. The title of the museum is inscribed by Yu Zhiyuan, a national expert with outstanding contributions, a famous professor of ancient Chinese literature and history, and honorary president of Normal College of Dalian University.

historical background

Both the first emperor of Qin Dynasty and Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty visited Chengshantou and left many beautiful legends. In order to show the long history of the Chinese nation and provide vivid patriotism education to tourists, the Museum of literature and history of Qin and Han Dynasties was built in 1996, which displays some literature and history materials and cultural relics related to Chengshantou scenic spot during the Qin and Han Dynasties.

In 219 BC, the first emperor of Qin led civil servants and military generals to the east of Chengshantou. He thought that they had reached the end of the sky, so he ordered the prime minister Lisi to write "qindongmen at the end of the sky" and set up a monument at the top of Chengshantou. Because of its long history, the stone tablet was broken into two sections, and some of the characters in the upper part fell into the sea. The base of the existing mountain top is 120 cm high, 145 cm wide and 75 cm thick. According to experts' research, "the stone of this tablet is made of wood, which is different from that of Chengshan stone. It is indeed a stone erected in the Qin Dynasty.

By means of words, paintings, photos, sand table and photoelectric display, each exhibition hall is independent and continuous. It not only has the characteristics of Chengshan, but also has far-reaching historicity, national color and modern style, so as to show the long history of the Chinese nation. The name of our library is inscribed by Mr. Yu Zhiyuan, a famous professor of ancient Chinese literature and history.
