Baimei reservoir is located in Baimei village, the middle reaches of Baimei River, Tingjiang Town, Mawei District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. In order to improve drinking water, solve the problems of farmland irrigation, flood control and drainage in Tingjiang Town, it was listed as a key construction project by Fuzhou Municipal People's Government in 1998 and started construction. It was supplied in September 2002. Now it is managed by Baimei water supply Co., Ltd. of Fuzhou Development Zone, mainly responsible for the daily management of dam and water quality of Baimei reservoir and flood control tasks.

Baimei reservoir is located in Baimei village in the middle reaches of Baimei River, Tingjiang town. The reservoir has a rainfall collection area of 65 square kilometers, a total designed storage capacity of 18.25 million M, an effective storage capacity of 15 million M, and a designed daily water supply capacity of 100000 t / d. The guarantee rate of water supply is 95%. The normal water level of the reservoir is 39.8m, and the storage capacity below the normal water level is 16.56 million M. The project started construction in October 1998 and passed the general acceptance of the project in March 2005. The design flood control standard of the reservoir is once in 50 years. In 2006, the flood control water level of the reservoir was 38.45m, which was approved by Fuzhou Water Conservancy Bureau. Since the water supply to Mawei District in September 2001, the water quality is basically good, reaching the national surface water environmental quality standard (GB3838-2002) of above three types of surface water standards.
