Bridge broken in Liangshui

Located on Tumen River, Liangshui Town, Tumen City, 26 kilometers away from Tumen City. The Liangshui bridge in Tumen and the Wencheng bridge in Wencheng Prefecture of North Korea were originally a bridge. It was constructed in 1936 and completed in May 1937. The bridge is 525 meters long and 6 meters wide, with 21 piers. The purpose of repairing the bridge is to transport the plundered materials from China back to China through North Korea. On August 13, 1945, on the eve of the victory of Anti Japanese war in Northeast China, the Japanese aggressor army was not reconciled to its defeat and sent special agents to blow up the bridge, which was only eight years old. Standing on the broken bridge of Tumen Liangshui, you can have a panoramic view of the urban area of North Korea's Wencheng County separated by a river and the famous Memorial Tower of Wang zaishan's revolutionary deeds in North Korea. Liangshui bridge is an important patriotic education base.

Tumen port

Tumen port is a national first-class international passenger and freight transport port. It is the only port in Jilin Province connected with North Korea by highway bridge and railway bridge. It is also the first batch of "land port for entry and exit of Chinese and foreign nationals" approved by the state. It is 13.77 meters high and was built in 1988.
