Longtouquan

Longtouquan

Longtou spring was built in the second year of Yanyou (1315). It is said that after the diversion of shuishuiyan spring, the water gushed out from the stone wall. Later generations led the water into the stone faucet mouth. Under the faucet, a turbine and a small bell were installed. The faucet vomited water, and the water rushed to the turbine to make it rotate and drive the bell to ring.

Historical records

According to relevant records from the Yuan Dynasty, this spring has been dry for thousands of years, and its water quality is pure. It is similar to Hupao spring in Hangzhou and belongs to high-quality mineral water. Because the surface ratio of water is large and the surface tension is strong, the small coin will not sink when placed on the water surface. The "banyan tea" produced in Gushan is brewed with spring water here. It tastes sweet and refreshing.
