Zhengzhou Art Museum, invested by Zhengzhou Municipal People's government, is a key cultural construction project of Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government during the Ninth Five Year Plan period. The foundation of Zhengzhou art museum was laid on April 20, 1995 and opened to the public in October 1997. The museum is located in Zhengzhou high tech Industrial Development Zone, covering an area of 28.4 mu, with a construction area of 5200 square meters and a total investment of 20 million yuan.

Zhengzhou Art Museum (Zhengzhou Academy of painting) is subordinate to Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of culture, all for public institutions. It has gathered a group of professional artists' creative team, including 4 first-class artists, 7 second-class artists and 7 third-class artists. It undertakes the tasks of calligraphy and painting creation and art research of Zhengzhou Municipal People's government and Art Museum, and undertakes the important tasks of art creation research and spiritual civilization construction.

The main hall has two circular exhibition halls of 600 square meters, one exhibition hall of 300 square meters, one multi-function hall of 400 square meters, two galleries of 100 square meters, one reception hall of 200 square meters and a three story artist creation building (with 21 artist creation rooms). Equipped with national secondary monitoring and fire alarm facilities, the museum has the ability to receive large-scale exhibitions of various kinds of art at home and abroad.

The collection mainly includes more than 500 works of famous calligraphers and painters such as long Rui, Bai Xueshi, Liu Wenxi, he Jiaying, Du Ziling, Shen Peng, Sha manweng and Wang Hongjian, as well as oil paintings donated by Michelle Art Center and more than 100 traditional folk art works donated by Liu Yantao, a famous painter in Taiwan.

Since its establishment, it has published more than 20 art albums such as the collection of art exhibition works of the 20th anniversary of the founding of Zhengzhou Art Museum (Zhengzhou Academy of painting), ancient style and classics, 2004 Henan calligraphy and painting exhibition, and more than 300 academic monographs and research papers. We have held various academic lectures and professional training courses for many times, and trained more than 1000 art talents at all levels. Status and influence

Zhengzhou Art Museum, as an authoritative art institution in Henan Province, is becoming the center of the formation of the Central Plains painting school; the center of the Central Plains area's art exchange activities at home and abroad; the center of the Central Plains calligraphers and painters' academic research; and the center of the government's collection of fine arts of calligraphy and painting. Since June 2009, curator Zhu Guangjian has successively solicited the overall ideas of leaders and experts of Zhengzhou Art Museum, such as Feng Shuguang, Wu Zhengling, Zhu Xuan, Mao Hongyan and Xu Xiongzhi, and entrusted Zhengzhou Qisi brand planning and design organization to design Marshal Cao of the division carried out a large number of specific designs and repeated modifications, and extensively solicited opinions from all sides.
