Beijing street

Beijing street is the seat of Xigang District Party committee and government of Dalian. It is the political, economic, cultural, financial, traffic and business activity center of Xigang District, starting from Xinkai road and Rixin street in the East, connecting with Shahekou District in the west, Huanghe Road and people's Square Street in the south, and Shugang road and Xianglujiao street in the north. It covers an area of 1.93 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 38543 (in 2010). There are Han, Hui, Mongolian, Manchu, Korean and other ethnic groups, including 7 community neighborhood committees of Beijing community, Jiusan community, Huanghe community, Changjiang community, Qinghe community, Gengsheng community and Beigang community.

On November 29, 2019, according to the reply of Dalian Municipal People's Government on Approving the adjustment of administrative divisions of some streets in Xigang District, it is decided to cancel Beijing street and merge it into people's Square Street.

There are seven communities in the street. More than 2000 enterprises and institutions are distributed in the area, including Xigang District Public Security Bureau, industrial and commercial bureau, procuratorate and other administrative and judicial departments; Dalian real estate trading market, Dalian Housing Replacement Center, Dalian furniture market; and the largest Christian Church and mosque in the city. Beijing street is the political, economic, cultural, financial, transportation and business center of Xigang District. in recent years, a number of street projects have been advanced by the state, province and city. They have been awarded national harmonious community construction demonstration community, national community service demonstration street, national community service-oriented party organization construction demonstration street, national community voluntary service demonstration street, national most beautiful voluntary service community, national smart and healthy elderly care demonstration street and national legal community construction demonstration street Street, national population and family planning law based administrative demonstration street, national model worker's home, national good neighborly cultural construction demonstration street, national science popularization demonstration community, Liaoning civilized unit, Liaoning advanced Party committee and other honorary titles.
