Historical evolution

The history of the Central Academy of drama can be traced back to the Yan'an Lu Xun Academy of art, which was established on April 10, 1938. During this period, it went through the school of literature and art of North China United University, the third Department of North China University, and then was merged into Nanjing National Academy of drama.

In December 1949, the Central Academy of drama was officially opened.

On April 2, 1950, the founding meeting of the Central Academy of drama was officially held. Chairman Mao Zedong personally wrote the name of the Academy.

In April 2006, the Central Academy of drama officially selected wendushuicheng, Zhenggezhuang village, Beiqijia Town, Changping District as its new site.

In 2010, it was selected as the national "characteristic key discipline project" construction university.

At the end of 2011, he was selected into the public postgraduate program of national construction high level university.

On October 21, 2012, the Central Academy of drama, located in the Hongfu community of Zhenggezhuang, Beijing, welcomed its first batch of freshmen.

In September 2017, it was shortlisted in the first batch of "double first-class" world-class discipline construction universities.

On January 2, 2018, the Central Academy of drama announced in Beijing that the newly established puppet drama department will recruit students for the first time in 2018.

General situation of Teachers

In 2014, the college formulated a five-year development plan for the faculty. In the whole year, the college introduced 31 talents, including 10 fresh graduates, 6 talents with rich experience in art practice transferred from other units, 15 non institution staff, 400 non institution staff, 58 non institution staff and 116 labor contract staff. Teacher training

Discipline construction

In November 1981, with the approval of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the Central Academy of drama was granted the right to confer master's degree in the first batch. In 2003, with the approval of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the Central Academy of drama began to recruit in-service teachers to pursue master's degrees.
