It is located in the central area of chenguantun Town, 120 meters west of Jinpu railway. The exhibition hall covers an area of 2900 square meters, with a practical collection area of 1772 square meters and a total investment of 10 million yuan. The museum is divided into seven parts: preface hall, Millennium charm, canal flowing green, customs on both sides of the Strait, the rise of the ancient city, leaping development and heading for the future. It has a collection of more than 1500 cultural relics, more than 260 pictures, 50 sculptures and more than 160 square meters of wall relief. Taking the canal as the main line, the exhibition hall reflects every important node and wonderful segment in the history of more than 4000 years from the retreat of the sea into land in the Xia Dynasty to the formation of the port in various aspects and different forms of expression, and reproduces the glorious history of chenguantun town in more than 2000 years and the connotation of canal culture.

The exhibition hall, the first canal culture museum in Tianjin, covers an area of 2900 square meters and is located in the east of chenguantun Town, Jinghai County. It is divided into seven parts: preface hall, Millennium ancient charm, canal flowing green, customs on both sides of the Strait, the rise of the ancient city and leapfrog development.

The ancient Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal passes through chenguantun town. There are 24 natural villages in the town, 23 of which are located on both sides of the canal. The sweet canal water nourishes the people on both sides of the canal from generation to generation. On this basis, the vegetable planting industry and vegetable pickling industry developed along the river used to be the leading industry and characteristic advantage of chenguantun town.
