Jidamu grassland is located in Shangri La, the hinterland of Jinsha River, Lancang River and Nujiang River. It is known as the most beautiful jidamu grassland in the southwest alpine meadow, which is the label of Shangri La.
Jidamu grassland is a typical plateau meadow in Shangri La. Snow mountains in the distance, alpine meadows nearby, and flocks of cattle and sheep constitute the meandering scenery of the plateau. The big stone mounds and the flying prayer flags on the grassland are the manidui (also known as "Manza" or "Shigong" by Tibetans) in the famous Tibetan area, which means praying for blessings and understanding for people to turn their scriptures and worship. No matter young or old Tibetans, wherever they see manidui, they will religiously circle it. Believers with more money will also attach a prayer flag to it.
