Leifeng Park

Leifeng park is located in Wanghua District, Fushun City, Liaoning Province, covering an area of 56700 square meters. Built in 1964, the main buildings include Lei Feng monument, Lei Feng statue, Lei Feng tomb and Lei Feng deeds exhibition hall. There are more than 400 pieces of cultural relics, such as Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and other party and state leaders' autographs for Lei Feng, and Lei Feng's relics and photos.

With perfect facilities and beautiful environment, Lei Feng memorial hall is an activity center for publicizing, researching and commemorating Lei Feng. Lei Feng memorial hall is one of the first batch of key revolutionary martyrs memorial buildings in China.

Lei Feng memorial hall was expanded in 1992. The new hall is a two-story building with a construction area of 4400 square meters and looks like a red flag. The five golden bronze characters "Lei Feng Memorial Hall" on the front were inscribed by Comrade Jiang Zemin himself. The first floor is round hall and exhibition hall. There is a 4.7-meter-high bronze statue of Lei Feng in the center of the circular hall, and large-scale decorative murals are painted on the walls of the circular hall. More than 400 pieces of Lei Feng's cultural relics are displayed in the exhibition hall, including more than 140 precious photos of Lei Feng, and more than 20 handwritings of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Deng Xiaoping and other revolutionaries of the old generation, as well as Jiang Zemin and other party and state leaders.

The second floor is the exhibition of Lei Feng's deeds in Fushun military and civil studies, which shows the masses' experience and advanced models of learning from Lei Feng. Precious photos of Party and state leaders visiting Fushun and Leifeng memorial hall are also displayed. Lei Feng's deeds have moved several generations. Today, when we vigorously carry out the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, his spirit is still not out of date, and will never be out of date.

On the first floor of the museum is the exhibition hall of Lei Feng's life story, and in the center stands a large bronze statue of Lei Feng with a height of 4.7 meters. Through more than 400 objects and a large number of photos, the exhibition hall truly reproduces the ordinary and great life of Comrade Lei Feng. At the same time, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai and other proletarian revolutionaries and state leaders of the older generation wrote inscriptions for Lei Feng. The second floor is the exhibition of learning from Lei Feng's advanced deeds.

Lei Feng's tomb covers an area of 400 square meters, all of which are made of granite. The front of the tombstone is engraved with the big gold character "Tomb of Comrade Lei Feng". The back of the tombstone is engraved with an introduction to Lei Feng's life. Around the tomb are green pines and cypresses. The statue of Lei Feng is 8 meters high, wearing a military uniform, with a submachine gun on his back and "selected works of Mao Zedong" in his hand.

The Leifeng monument, 13.4 meters high, is inscribed with Comrade Mao Zedong's inscription: "learn from Comrade Lei Feng.".

Lei Feng (1940-1962) was born in Changsha, Hunan Province, from a poor peasant family. After liberation, under the care of the party and the government, Lei Feng entered the school to study. After graduating from primary school, I took part in the local work. After that, he took part in socialist construction in various places and won many awards. He joined the army in 1960 and joined the Communist Party of China in November of the same year. He has been awarded many meritorious deeds. He died on August 15, 1962, at the age of 22.
