It is said that they are carved by craftsmen "Zhang Wu" and "he San". Jinding stone building is one of the eight ancient Baodi scenic spots and the largest stone building in Tianjin. During the cultural revolution, the stone buildings were demolished and restored in 1998. It is a municipal cultural relic protection unit.

Baodi stone building of Jin Dynasty is located in the center of Shizi street, Baodi County, Tianjin city. It has unique shape and excellent carving. It is the best Buddhist stone carving art. It was built in the reign of emperor Shengzong of Liao Dynasty (983-1031) and rebuilt in the reign of emperor Huangtong of Jin Dynasty, Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty and Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty. It is 11.4 meters high. The seat of the building is square, with Buddhist stories carved on all sides. On the square platform, there is xumizuo, a pot door carved on the waist, and a lotus on the top. The body of the building is composed of octahedral stone pillars and a treasure cover, which is now six levels. The first and second levels are carved with thousands of Buddha statues, the third level is the Guangxu chapter (1875) re engraved with the records of rebuilding stone buildings in the 21st year of Kangxi (1862), the fourth level is engraved with the Buddhist Sutra of Zunsheng, and the fifth and sixth levels are re carved with Buddha statues.
