The former site of Pingjin battle front headquarters is located in Jizhou District, Tianjin.

The house is of brick and wood structure. The courtyard is long and narrow. The East and West Wing rooms are arranged in an orderly way. The main room is a hall type, with one light and two dark. The East and West Wing rooms are for the combat, confidential and security personnel; the East Wing room is for the former party secretary and commander Lin Biao; the West Wing room is for the combat room. Bulletproof wire netting is erected on the roof.

Site features

The former site of Pingjin battle front headquarters is located in a local rich farmer's house in mengjialou village, Jizhou district. In December 1948, after the victory of the Liaoshen campaign, in order to deploy the Pingjin campaign, according to the instructions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, nearly a million troops of the Northeast Field Army of the Chinese people's Liberation Army and the special division troops entered the pass without waiting to rest. They stationed their headquarters in mengjialou and designated this farm house as the command center of the Pingjin campaign.
